Street Parking in Belgium removed from the Milo app.

The way we offer street parking in Milo is changing. In short, from 2 April 2024, our users in Belgium are no longer able to start and stop street parking transactions from the Milo app.
In this blog, we further expand on the reason behind this change and its impact on our customers.
The street parking service in Milo allows our users to conveniently start and stop street parking transactions directly from the app, utilising an Application Programming Interface (API) provided by Parkmobile. However, due to a significant development at Parkmobile we will no longer have access to this API.
In January 2023, Parkmobile was acquired by EasyPark Group. Regrettably, EasyPark Group has decided to discontinue support for the street parking API from Parkmobile, leading to the disabling of access to the API per 1 April 2024.
Users in Belgium can still utilise their XXImo Mobility Card to conveniently pay for street parking directly at the parking terminals
As a result of this change, we have diligently sought an alternative solution to continue offering street parking in Milo to our valued customers. We are pleased that, by expanding our partnership with SMSparking, we are able to continue offering street parking in Milo to some of our users.
Unfortunately, SMSparking is currently only available in the Netherlands, which means that our Belgian users will not have access to (the new) street parking in Milo.
SMSparking has plans to extend its services into Belgium, which would enable us to reinstate street parking for our Belgian users. Unfortunately, the timeline for SMSparking's expansion into Belgium remains uncertain at this time.
Therefore, effective 2 April 2024, XXImo will be removing the street parking service from Milo for our Belgian users. We want to reassure you that users in Belgium can still utilise their XXImo Mobility Card to conveniently pay for street parking directly at the parking terminals.
We apologise for any inconvenience this may cause and assure you that we are committed to providing the best possible services to our customers and users.

Unfortunately, street parking is now unavailable in Milo. Luckily, there are alternative apps for starting and stopping on-street parking transactions in Belgium that also work with your XXImo Mobility Card. Consider using one of these apps in the meantime:
